DCEO January 2023

I recently had the opportunity to share about my life and style with DCEO Magazine.

I’m so grateful for the chance to connect with such a fantastic publication. It’s always an honor to be recognized for the hard work and dedication that goes into building a successful business.

How does your work influence what you wear?
Black and white are the brand colors at ISP Creative. Production teams have historically dressed in black, similar to the stage hands in a theater company. We’re not meant to be seen, we want our work to shine. I’ve adopted that black motif, but combined it with the timeless elegance of a black limo, black tux, or a little black dress. I enjoy wearing black and white because you can dress it up and dress it down to match the events of that day, whether it’s a gala event or a studio shoot.

Black and white represents a clear line—an absolute. Class and boldness. The warrior and the peace maker.

What do you do?
My first LOVE is Photography… My skill is being an Executive Producer and a natural born leader. I have a Creative House and Studio called ISP Creative. There I help manage the team, projects, and client relationships, as well as lend creative direction.

Who is your style icon, and why?
I really admire Olivier Rousteing of Balmain. His line of clothing is very militant, very structured. It reminds me a bit of my personality. I don’t take myself too seriously, but when projects fall behind I can get a bit militant.

What inspires your style choices?
I’m continually inspired by the culture.

The cultural sentiment ultimately dictates the design aesthetics. The streetwear I see up and down New York City and the experiences of a nation all influences fashion and marketing.

How would you describe your style?
A bold and timeless style. I’m well aware of the trends, but don’t get caught in each one. I like to combine the classy looks of the past with the bold and unexpected elements of today.

What do you never leave home without?
My courage. And my camera—even if it’s just the camera on my phone. I’ve always got a camera within reach to capture inspiration and beautiful moments.

Do you have a go-to look?
My go to look emulates the industrial nature of production. It’s a lot of utilitarian-fashion with pockets and zippers and latches.

How do you accessorize?
I accessorize with Tiffany’s HardWear & T collections.

I love that it complements my lifestyle. Being in marketing, I’m fascinated with their recent campaigns, including “Not Your Mothers Tiffany” and how they’ve collaborated with artists such as Beyonce & Jay-Z to capture a new generation. It’s a bold reinvention.

How does your look change on the weekends or during downtime?
The weekend is family time, and that’s where I love to add a lot of color. When I’m with my family I don’t dress black-and-white, I embrace all the bright colors that come with my Latin heritage and go all-out.And during downtime there’s certainly more kimonos and robes. What’s your favorite clothing store?
For a ray of sunshine I go to Alice + Olivia for their fun, bright, and beautiful looks.
