Birthday’s are a wonderful time to celebrate. But as I get older, the celebration is less about me and more about what’s around me. The family and community and connections that surround me are so special to me. As gratitude fills my heart, a birthday celebration becomes a sort of spiritual experience.
I’m reflecting today on all of the wonderful people in my life, and the incredible opportunities that I’ve had. As I do, I’m overwhelmed by how blessed I am. It’s a feeling better than any party or present.
Thank you to everyone who’s sent me kind words and birthday wishes, your messages have made today very special because they’re a reminder of the love I’m surrounded by.
