I did not get here alone. Not even close.
There is a quote from The Jungle Book that has stayed with me for years.
"The strength of the wolf is the pack, and the strength of the pack is the wolf."
I have thought about that a lot lately. Because behind everything I have built, every opportunity, and every public recognition I have been honored with, there is a pack of women who made it possible. I carry their impact with me everywhere I go and I want to name them. Because they deserve to be seen just as much as they helped me be seen.
Michelle Bobadilla, for opening doors for me and for other women before anyone asked her to.
Lynn McBee, for showing me that educating girls is not just a cause. It is a calling.
Debbie Trevino, for making the room rumble when she prays and reminding me that faith is a force.
Olga Lopez, for believing in my future.
Sabrina Harrison, for showing me that fashion and faith do not have to live in separate rooms.
Ruth Villalonga and Kim Cummings, for the collaboration that became the International Women’s Day of Philanthropy and proved what women can build together.
Arcillia Acosta, for showing me that there are no limits!
Dr. Froswa and Bemnet, for teaching me what it means to be a bridge to communities we have not yet reached.
Jennifer Bartkowski, for running the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas with the vision and discipline of a Fortune 500 company and showing me what excellence in leadership.
Cris Zertuche, Patricia Rodriguez-Christian, and Suzanne Sewell, my tight knit circle. The ones who know me and their friendship makes me better.
Florencia, for showing up for me in the deepest sense and for living out what love for family and community looks like.
Becky Munoz Diaz, the station manager who guided me through one of the most pivotal decisions of my life, buying my first studio from Univision. That moment changed everything.
Success is never really individual. We tell ourselves it is. We celebrate the solo story. But behind every woman standing in her greatness is a community that helped her get there.
And because of that, I feel a deep responsibility. To pour back into the community that poured into me. To show up for the next woman the way someone showed up for me. To be the open door. To make the introduction. To say the encouraging word on the hard day.
That is the work. And it is one of the greatest privileges of my life.
To every woman still finding her way, your pack is out there. Find them. And when you do, never let go.
My Win is HER Win. Always.
